I

have a thing for planners. It's at the top of my wishlist every year-end.

When December comes around, I start scouring the local shops searching for one that will fit my needs. Till now I haven't found one yet. The generic ones being sold at National Book Store just don't cut it for me. Either they're too small, or too bulky.

I want a planner that has a monthly at-a-glance page along with weekly, dated pages. A monthly format helps me keep a better track of my appointments (and what invites and requests I can say yes or no to.) It should be functional. It should be pretty. It should be small enough to be placed inside my bag, yet the page layout spacious enough to hold all my appointments, to-do's, reminders and thoughts-on-the-go's.

Sadly, there are not that many shops here that carry unique organizers.

Here are a some that I've found online that I would just LOVE to get my hands on:

myAgenda Planner by Mom Agenda (P$36, via See Jane Work)
I love the cover designs, especially the turquoise. No month-at-a-glance but I can work with the week-at-a-view format if the organizer looks this pretty!

Today is the Day Pocket Planner by Jessica Hische ($14.00 via Buy Olympia)
Hands down, this has got to be the best-looking planner I've seen so far. It's pure, lovely vintage, with full-page typographical illustrations of quotations by Emily Dickinson, Emily Bronte, etc. And how cute is that "Write Everyday" text on the spine? Oh yeah, I'd totally write everyday on a planner like this. I want this so bad. (Even if this were only a notebook, I'd snag it.)

This has been making the rounds of most of the local blogs I read. But the colors and cover design (and that burlap pouch) are too masculine for me. I know the design should be coffee-themed, but the poplar, bamboo, cherry, spruce, and oak colors are kinda too dark for my taste. I love their coffee, but I'm not too crazy with their planners. Besides, there are no Starbucks outlets here in Dumaguete. So it would be impossible for me to rack up the necessary stickers just so I can get a planner.

Perpetual Planet Planner ($26, Poketo)
It's simple, classic and fuss-free. The no-frills weekly and monthly layout will help de-clutter my cluttered schedule. I love the Pantone 178 Pink color.

Now, saving the best for last:

2012 Planner by Laurel Denise ($35, found via Oh So Beautiful Paper)
This is THE planner for me. I was drooling when I saw this posted at Oh So Beautiful Paper blog. Monthly, weekly pages? Check. Spacious layout? Check. Can you put it inside your bag? Check. Pretty? Oh yes, check! This one is just.so.me.

You can see more images here. Laurel is also offering a free PDF download of a To-Do List over here.
