ere's a wonderful opportunity for budding Filipino writers: the Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines is holding a Feature Writing Contest for all Filipino campus writers and college students.

All you need to write about is "The European Union and Its Impact in the Philippines", which is the contest's theme. It sounds kinda broad but you can check out their website for possible story ideas. (Hint: start at the News Section. It's a minefield of ideas).

If you're a Pinoy college student, and you have the writing bug, then you must not miss this chance to win €500 (that's like almost P30,000 I think, enough for you to buy an iPad!), a trophy, medal and a chance to see your article published at The Philippine Daily Inquirer. Cool, right?

So if you're seriously thinking of joining, you better hurry because all entries must be received by EU before October 14, 2011.

You can read more about it here.

Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with EU, nor am I being paid or given gifts in kind to write about this contest. More importantly, I am not liable for any errors, losses or damages arising from the data shared here. This is written purely for information sharing purposes only.
